Today was Evie’s preschool’s Thanksgiving program.  There were Native Americans, pilgrims and lots of construction paper.  It was absolutely adorable.

And hilarious.  Watch this video to see what I mean.

Okay, here are the players:  There’s Evie on the back row.  On the first row and to the right of Evie is Megan.  To Megan’s right is Matty.  All are sweet girls and the best of friends.  Usually.  But let the performance commence, and it’s every diva for herself, friends.  Don’t even try to mess up, or you and yourself will be called out, cute construction paper headdress or not.

So, Megan sang “It’s Thanksgiving!” when she wasn’t supposed to.  Megan is four.  Does that matter to Evie?  Hells no!  Like I said, called out.  Ain’t no age on the stage, y’all.  And did you notice some words were said?  You can’t hear them, so I’ll break it down for you:

Megan (in her best Thanksgiving Program voice):  “It’s Thanksgiving!”

Evie (with a furrowed brow and a poke in the shoulder): Megan.

Megan looks embarrassed.  She turns to Matty for comfort.

Megan:  I messed up.

Matty:  She ain’t all that.

Megan covers her ears to get back on key.  The show must go on.

Megan:  I know, girl.
